Despite being old and vile - he's still Paimon's favorite doormat. Richard, or Lord Lamento participates in fox hunt and riding sports and owns a couple of stables blablablblblblblbla - he's just a godawfully rich noble and a jerk. Apparently he considers drowning in self-pity also a sport, because he'll constantly remind his children how they're driving him into an early grave. Kind of ironic, because he's pretty much immortal. But they don't know that, that's what amuses him in the first place.
